Boy, was I a Netscaper in the beginning!  I think I dabbled in it in 1995, and went whole hog in 1996.  But come (in my case personally) 2008, after a few years of Thunderbird, the idea of webmail, repugnant to me till that point, became all important, as I had access to it wherever I was.  Though no longer an Earthlink ISP'er, I still do Earthlink webmail (it owns the few of us ix.netcom.com'ers that are still alive) for convenience, ie, it's the only address I've had since 1995, and I still get the occasional email from someone in my various areas of interest expressing surprise that such an old address still works.  I reply, I "still work", so, there you go.

My ISP is Comcast, by default in this part of the world (Monterey County, CA).  But because I'm a flaming liberal, I enjoy the beloved peacock on many of its pages.  (Chimes, please!)
