One of the things that happens to me with the iPhone & gmail is the sudden
appearance of the undo key. Switch to the numbers keyboard, hit the
spacebar with your right paw, and the whole message disappears.
Gmail is not the fabulous thing they think it is.
Nothing be perfect.
