[Magdalen] Another dumb tech question

NO! Being connected to wi-fi only means you're connected to your wifi router
in your home (or wherever). Anything outside your home is the responsibility
of your internet provider - typically the cable co. or the phone co. They
often screw up, leaving you with wifi but no internet. What you do is to
turn off your wifi router, wait 15-20 seconds, then turn it back on and wait
for all the flashing lights to do their thing (maybe a minute or so). If you
still don't have internet, then you'll just have to wait until your provider
gets their act together.

Subject: [Magdalen] Another dumb tech question

I am apparently connected to Wifi—nice strong signal. However, I’m not
connected to the internet—the internet icon on the router is flickering, and
I can’t access anything except my mail, and I can’t download any of the
content in that.

I thought if you were connected to Wifi, you were connected to the internet,
because I thought that’s what WiFi was for.

What do I need to do to fix this? I’ve disconnected the router twice. I hope
this isn’t going to be another 6-week nightmare with my internet provider!=
