[Magdalen] Train accident

There were gates, but reports this morning say townspeople said they had been malfunctioning—sometimes stayed down for hours. If that were case, of course, the truck driver might well have been trying to go around.
A man with the safety organization says the investigation could take 12-14 months... Now, that’s something I don’t understand.

Then, from the view I saw, it fairly quickly veers across the tracks. So, it seems to me that, if the trucker is happily barrelling along next to the train, he might suddenly find it is too late to avoid the crossing, working signals notwithstanding.
