[Magdalen] Visiting New York

I second the recommendation on the Cloisters. It's at the north end of
Manhattan, not near other attractions. IIRC, it takes a subway + bus, or
subway + walk up a steep hill to get there. That's why it's more of a day
trip.

There are other museums, of course - the Metropolitan, MOMA, Guggenheim,
Museum of Natural History come to mind. There's also lots of music, etc.,
going on all the time. The New Yorker magazine (it's online) will have all
the info on that. Personally, I'd head for the Village Vanguard, but that's
just me.

You really need to stay an extra day or so just to do tourist stuff.

I know nothing much of parishes in New York, but I do know that St. Mary the
Virgin has a reputation as a liberal Anglo-Catholic parish.

I think you would love The Cloisters (although it’s more of a day trip).

St. Mary the Virgin (Times Square) is one A-C parish that doesn’t crap all
over women. Daily services, too.
