I have occasionally done the Saint Nicholas thing in the season.  
I don't do Santa, but Saint Nick is entitled to a white beard as well.
 
I do this impersonation via a black cassock, long, white Anglican choir
surplice, red brocade cope with gold lining, and a tall, Roman style gold
mitre that once belonged to a Roman Papal Nuncio.  I also have a
large Coptic pectoral cross and a big (fake) pontifical ring.  The 
look is quite fetching, if I don't say so myself.
 
On one occasion this Saint Nick look-alike was requested at a party
thrown by a transsexual retired physician friend.  Little did I know that
he scheduled the hymn, "Hail Holy Queen Enthroned Above," on my
ascent to the "cathedra."  That all gave me a matching red face, as well.
