[Magdalen] Florida Man

I’m kinda a fan of that site,
even though sometimes it’s painful to read.

It’s a gorgeous day, brite & fair.
I drove down to the Matanzas inlet to try to get some pictures,
but the parking lot was full.
Was feeling a little nostalgic,
listening to Linda Ronstadt’s
Canciones de mi padre,
not loud,
windows down,
when a Florida Man in a pickup truck
started SCREAMING at me.
He wants me to go back from whence I came.
Hollered he’d written down my license number
and would call ICE.
To get the ball rolling, I suppose.

Then drove back to our rented condo,
pulled into the parking area,
only to be told by a Florida Man walking his scuffy little dog
that cleaners and maids should park in the service lot.

We’ve got them on the run and they’re scared.
