[Magdalen] Prayer List

The silliest instance of this I've encountered was during a visit to a
large Lutheran church in Ann Arbor years ago. The pastor leading the Sunday
service chanted the prayers of the people on one note and rather swiftly.
Everything was normal-sounding until one petition went <commence
speed-chanting> "For <Someone's Name>, who was in a motorcycle accident in
California and is now scheduled for extensive surgery but has a good
prognosis, let us pray to the Lord..." My friend and I giggled about this
many times.
