I think church is a highly personal thing and one should go somewhere where one isn’t fed just to oblige other people. Visiting is one thing, regular diet is quite another.

I am in Virginia Beach my D ¡ l invited me to church. My son has afriend
who was in a bad car accident she Catholic wanted him to go to church. They
did some chutch Shoping he did not like catholic so the ended up at Grace
chapel. It was an autatrium to me. we were late so we missed the music on
screens and the communion like United Church style. the plate got passed
just before. There was a bright red door on stage and a 29 year old man
preached on ephesians. I am sure you all can guess the preaching. Then a
upfront call to accept Jesus if needed and he wished people a good day and
that was it after about 45min preaching. when his friend asked me how I
liked it I had to be polite. My son summed up the sermon later in the car
as we went home. All I could think was wow my son is going to a church! He
knows his the way of the Episcopal church in his mind. He is doing this
for his wife and his friend. I don't want to hear them preach on an
escatological book! maybe next week I go to my Episcopal one. Baby has
another week in the womb. Don't know the real day or the hour.
