Last week, spent 3 days at the Little Rock (AR) VA​. Turns out I have quite
a few more cysts than they had suspected; they took fluid samples from the
2 largest,
​am still waiting on the report (but don't anticipate anything terrible).
Will probably have to do an MRI every 2-3 years to keep an eye on the size.

Yesterday, was at the Fayetteville, AR VA getting scheduled for surgery
(hernia) which will be on the 22d.

And, last week, I tripped in the garden​, possibly cracking a rib.

Still trying to laugh about it all and keep a good attitude.

2 weeks ago, my private instrumental students did quite well at the state
solo and ensemble festival. (don't think I had reported earlier that 3 of
my students had made all--state this year, including a saxophone player who
made 1st chair, 1st band and had the highest score for all those
auditioning. Can't claim total credit - when I get a student like that, I
try to find someone to refer them to with more knowledge than I about their
specialty). I retired fro active teaching in 2010 (mostly for health
concerns - that's when they discovered the dvt's in both legs). Things have
settled a bit and now I go into the high school 1st hour, (2-3 students)
then on to the middle school, where I have several students. This week is
probably the last for the school year before testing starts.

I was a guest conductor at last week's spring concert - doing "The Haunted
Carousel," for band with Theremin. Was a lot of fun. Link at
