[Magdalen] DioVA convention

I'm always amazed to hear about diocesan conventions that last 3 days,
which implies two overnights even if the first and last days are partials.
I wonder what they do with all that time. Our diocesan convention is this
coming weekend and will begin with a Eucharist which will include the
bishop's address on Friday evening, followed by a reception. Attendance at
this portion of the convention is not recorded. All of the business will be
conducted on Saturday between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm with an hour and a half
lunch break. My amazement is also mixed with a degree of envy that these
dioceses have such extended time in their life together as a body.
