[Magdalen] List quiet?

Finished a big work project and should be celebrating but am feeling
low...so much negligence on my part in so many areas of life. And I forgot
to write an oblate quarterly report by Nov. 1 and we've been pointedly made
aware of it. We're to write about our understanding of obedience. I'm
wondering if this Benedictine oblate thing is something I should lay aside.
It will cause no end of anguish for my partner preparing for his solemn
vows in the spring, but I'm aware that my effect on others is my main
motivation in life. Will it please or irritate? That's what decides.
Hope I don't spend the weekend this way. It's supposed to be a good one.
