It takes a lot to make me a "fan" of anything these days, and I must admit I seldom do such watching listening and watching at Youtube, believe it or don't.  But whens I sees 'em, I shares 'em.

I also must admit that the washboardist's impression of Huck Finn playing the washboard on what Huck might call a less-than-great day, is a bit off-putting.  But his use of mere tin cans is sterling.  (Well, tin'ing, anyway.)

But the thing that amazes me about any band, from days of yore to examples like this, is the ability of a mere three wind instruments coming so absolutely close to what the original King Oliver recording sounds like.  Point being, it's not what they do with the instruments so much as how clearly and deeply they've absorbed the original to make it come alive today on such a stage in such a way.  Not "copying"; hardly!  But, coming from someone who rues that so many young bands make it a point to be both traditional and modern and therefore a new thing altogether, "keeping a nearly lost style alive".
