Daffodils are rioting in our yard, causing me to remember the autumn days
we put in planting 1000 bulbs of various kinds--they've multiplied x
several since then, as we have not only the daffs, but crocuses and the
smaller early spring flowers--the scilla and puschkinia and chionodoxa,,
all of which seem to have traveled afar from the places we originally put
them. And besides those, the hellebores have been in full bloom for awhile
and even those have set out some daughter plants. We went into
Harrisonburg for a basketball game yesterday and the arboretum across from
the Convo Center was starting to look glorious with all the blooming trees.
