[Magdalen] Photostick?

I can connect my phone directly to the computer through the USB port, and
that's what I've always done before. Then the phone appears like any other
device. From there, I used to just click on its photo folders and drag the
contents to the folder on my computer. Now when I try that, it tells me
the phone folders are empty, which they're not, because I can see the
pictures on my phone.

Anyway, I'm grateful for all the suggestions, and I'll try them out. If
that doesn't work, I'll try the Apple store. I had no idea I'd need an
appointment for that, though! Do they charge a lot for their service?

Actually, there's an excellent computer service near me that I've used
before--maybe they can help.
