Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue (TEC) has completed
their new and refurbished pipe organ.  The cover article ofthe current "The American Organist" is devoted to unusuallylengthy and detailed coverage of the installation built byIowa (USA) organ builder Dobson.
The Saint Thomas congregation is housed in a beyondravishing collegiate gothic structure dating from 1913, andit was the last collaboration between guiding lights of theNorth American collegiate gothic movement, architectsCram and Goodhue.
The elaborate oak case of the original organ on the Epistleside was duplicated, but not copied to encase the new Gospel
side organ pipes.  There is also a mechanical action separateorgan in the rear gallery.
At the same time they announced replacement for John Scottwho died unexpectedly, and he is another well qualified organistand choirmaster who holds both English and USA citizenship,Jeremy Filsell
It appears the famed music program with its USA unique menand boys choir is alive and well.
