Well, you might see if there is anyone there doing this new procedure. I don’t know exactly what it’s called, but instead of cutting the quad muscle and others, they are pulled to the side and the prosthesis put in from the side. I’ll ask my surgeon if it has a specific name.  I specifically went to her because she’s the only one here doing it, and I’d heard from other very happy patients.
I know what you mean about not facing another replacement. I tried ignoring this one longer than I should have for that reason.
