Pancakes and Shrovetide measls happen in many places in England too. But
if you want to really celebrate Shrovetide, you need to go to Ashbourne
in the County of Derbyshire, There they have the Royal Shrovetide
Football played on a "pitch" about 3 miles long right through the town
