I forgot White+s problem with hypoglycemia in the morning.  He would not eatdespite this problem, before he said his first Mass.  Instead, around the base ofthe altar cross there were always a few Lifesaver candies which we were understrict orders not to touch.  The candy got him through the Eucharist at whichpoint he would eat breakfast.
