Surgery went ahead on Monday - went very well... I was kept in the hospital
four days and allowed to come home on Friday which is a speedy exit to be
sure. However I have nursing care to take care of the dressing and I have
to follow a strict non-fiber diet for the next six week. This diet will be
the same as the one I was on to control the high ileostomy output which was
landed me in the PCU for four days in Feb.
I am glad to be home and I know there were prayers ascending on my behalf.
I truly think that being so ill was a blessing in disguise because it got
me shortlisted and I got my problem solved... In a bit of pain and this of
course is when I try to get up from my chair or the bed not so painful if I
just sit or lay still... However I have meds in place here ... and husband
is here to give me a hand.
Unfortunately for now dressing needs to be changed every day this may be
for the next week or so.
Hope all of you are keeping well... and keeping healthy and staying home
and safe...
