Polling says she's ahead of Susan Collins by ~8 points. 538 & Economist
& others say the Dems are likely to take the Senate, but by no means a
shoo-in. So that's where I've put my money.

Speaking of elections, here in Vermont all registered voters have
already received ballots in the mail. Apparently it's very easy to get
on the ballot in Vermont - we have 21 Presidential candidates to choose
from. They're all arranged alphabetically, so Joe Biden is first and the
Donald is next to last, just ahead of Kanye West. I thought I'd
entertain you with some of the Parties we get to choose from, besides
D's & R's:

Constitution
American Solidarity
Prohibition (they still exist!)
Alliance
Green
Approval Voting
Libertarian
Socialist Workers
Liberty Union
Bull Moose
Grumpy Old Patriots
Bread and Roses
Boiling Frog
plus a whole bunch of "Independents" who, I guess, weren't able to come
up with some creative name.
And there's also a Communist running for Congress.

Finally, I do hope Ms. Michaud has taken in at least some leaf-peeping,
as the foliage up here was very early this year, presumably due to a
very cold and very dry September. Only maybe 20% left here now.
