Mirabile dictu!  I would not have believed that 2 hours later I'd be back
at my daughter's with it all behind me.;  I marvelled at how the
surgeon had managed to do whatever he has done and without having to cut
muscle which he had earlier expected.he would have to.  I was up and
running (!) yesterday at tea time and miraculously the affected leg has
been adjusted somehow so that it is the length it used to be and
matches the other leg.  So hard not to automatically limp when there is
absolutely no need to.

Anyway, I feel fine and marvel at what magic the surgeon worked.  God is
great and I have no doubt that the prayers of so many friends all over the
world(!) brought it all together.  I can believe that I will be able to
garden come spring.  I just must persevere about exercises!

Thanks for your concerns and warm good wishes in this.  It has been
heartwarming in the extreme!
