I was just thinking about Susan today, so glad to read the update Grace. 
Somehow I missed that Susan didn't actually know what was "wrong " with her.

An update on Susan Hagen. She saw the surgeon today and had the staples removed. She’s 12 days post-surgery and making remarkable progress. The target goal for discharge from rehab is a week from tomorrow, but that’s not cast in stone. She will need someone there 24/7 for a couple of weeks when she goes home. But she’s more and more like her old self, speech is clearer, and she’s walking better. She has no recollection of what brought her to the ER in the first place, nor the days leading up to the surgery.
