Hi, Susan, I was the orbital bone fracture. Six or so weeks ago I tripped
and conked my 'cheek bone' on the corner of a low bookcase. No pain over
all, but pretty unsightly! In the end, nearly four weeks ago, plastic
surgery placed a bridge over the gap created by the fracture so that my eye
would be properly supported in the right position. I look all right to the
casual observer now, and time will, I hope, fix the double vision that
remains upward and a little downward. Horizontal vision is fine and I can
read and drive perfectly well. 'Tis but a flesh wound.'
