[Magdalen] The gift of this pub

As long as I am alive and can remember how to manage server computers, 
Magdalen is not going away.
I'm 72, so I can't promise "forever".

Because of Google Groups, it is becoming increasingly difficult to 
operate non-Google-based discussion groups. If I am hit by a train (not 
likely in the UK these days :-) it might work best to reincarnate 
Magdalen as a Google Group.
