[Magdalen] pictures in Magdalen

When the Magdalen list was created some decades ago, I set it up so that 
there could be no attachments. That was because attachments were (and 
still are) a security risk. But there are so many security risks on the 
internet, and every communications channel now includes pictures. 
Magdalen was formed out of the ashes and shareds of Big A, the original 
Englican list hosted by American University, and the technology of that 
time could not include attachments.

Clinging to the email-list rules of the previous century feels rather 
like insisting on the US 1928 prayer book.

Sometime in the next day or two I am going to re-implement the 
magdalen at herberthouse.org mailing list so that it uses 21st-century 
message rules, including image attachments. I will probably announce it 
by sending pictures of my grandchildren. All of my cats have died of old 
age, so I can’t send pictures of my cats. Grandchildren will have to do.
