[Magdalen] favorite book(s) from 2024?

This isn't from 2024 (except the last book in the series), but I LOVED the
entire Louise Penny/ Chief Inspector Gamache series. A little more
substantial than "cozy mysteries," but not enough to give nightmares. Also
loved Ken Follett's Kingsbridge series (historical fiction, not thrillers).
