I am certainly heartened by this appointment of a new Archbishop of
Canterbury. There is no way to wait long enough for *everyone* to be in
agreement, and those in disagreement have already done so much to distance
themselves. I think back to the huge kerfuffle when we elected Katherine
Jefferts Schori as our Presiding Bishop. "A woman as a Primate???"
Suz Buchanan
still in Lenoir NC and Rector of St. James (into my 9th year here); have
passed the 30 yr mark of ordination (closing in on 31 in November);
debating whether I want to run again for deputy to General Convention. Will
become President of the Standing Committee of Western North Carolina in
January. Approaching my 68th birthday (how did THAT happen??) Discovered
in January of this year that gluten does not play nice with my body and I
am feeling better now than I had for a number of years.
