I would tweak things here and there, but in general this is my
idea of an ideal worship space. It is Saint Mark's Cathedral,
Minneapolis for the Diocese of Minnesota. (There is another
cathedral for the Diocese in Faribault, MN).

It is early collegiate gothic, with classical stone quadripartite vaults
(no sound absorbent Gustavino tiles here) and sound reflective wood and
warm brick and stone interior. This makes the space perfect for classical
sacred music. The church is not too big so that sound is lost. Most of
the
aisle and clerestory stained glass is by Connick and Willet and thus of
very high quality. The organ ties for first place is size, and sounds
marvelous. The choir, mixed and of high quality, is up front.
