[Magdalen] iPhone 5 update to ios8 info?

I'm still cloud-averse, though I know that's where lots of my Kindle stuff is.
I want to put some of my iPhone photos on my Kindle, and my sin in law said I should put the in the cloud and transfer them. I haven't been able to do that.
I did get about 15 pictures transferred over, but I can't remember how I did it!
