[Magdalen] Where to go?

I think Montreal for a few days, Quebec City, then drive east along the
South Shore (remembering to look north across the mighty St. Lawrence at
the mountainous heights east of Quebec City -- Mt Ste Anne, Charlevoix,
Saguenay, and the like -- one of my favourite vistas ever) and south
into New Brunswick following the St. John River to St. John. From
there, either drive to Fredricton and then south into Nova Scotia, or
take the ferry across the Bay of Fundy to Digby, Nova Scotia, and make
your way ultimately to Halifax by several choices of scenic and
interesting routes. Halifax is charming and historic and is the home of
the Granite Brewery amongst other pubs and pleasures. Just saying.
