It brought back memories of a friend in the Army, a highly intelligent,
capable young woman who constantly involved herself in a long series of
inappropriate partners. She had a copy of the book, _Men who Hate Women
and the Women who Love Them_ which she said had been given her by her
mother. She was especially remarkable in that she had very good insight
into her self-destructive behavior. Sad and tragic.
I wonder how she's doing today -- if she's still alive.
