But if a brand can't offer a great vanilla, the rest of the flavors  are
suspect.  In the matter of added oils and wax, B&J opts for a  second
rate ice cream but covers it up with all the many flavors such as the
cherry/chocolate chip flavor you mention - IMHO, of course.
 
It's a similar situation with coffees.  Unless the brand makes a  good
cup of black coffee, it's hard to believe the rest of their flavored  
coffees
are good.
