[Magdalen] Happy Christmas!

Tidying here too (an ongoing, never finished act of will...)

Cooking too, for eating here and taking to the private home where my mom now
lives, as we are gathering there for a Mexican fiesta dinner tomorrow.
Homemade TX/Mex casseroles and also homemade tamales , and I'm bringing
Poblano Pepper soup and chips/salsa/guacamole. A different kind of
Christmas, that's for sure but the best place to visit Mom this year, rather
than bringing her to my condo. My sister and friend Jim will be attending
as well.

Making some Scotch Shortbread (for gifts) as soon as I get the roasting
eggplant out of the oven, and also trying to fit in making some of my
candied ginger dipped in chocolate treats, also for giving away.

My mail is not showing up in my inbox, but from your replies, I know I'm at
least speaking in the pub, as it were.

Not sure if I asked for prayers yesterday or not but my nephew Oliver (my
sister's son) is in need of them. He has turned his life upside down again
after a year or so smooth sailing and so much going in his favor. My heart
breaks and my former brother in law has asked me to tell my sister. Needless
to say, I'm waiting a few days.

Love and cyber-hugs to each and all of you across the miles and may your
Christmas be filled with blessings, large and small, and may your eyes be
blessed to see them all.

Lynn

When I stand before God at the end of my life I would hope that I have not a
single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything You gave me."
