When I was little, we got lots&lots of sermons about lighthouses
and foghorns.>>>>
One fun thing about borrowing the Chequamegon Bay (Lake Superior)
cabin of a friend was to sit on the red sandstone cliff just below the
cabin,
and watch the flashing of not one, but two lighthouses and hear their fog
horns.
Chequamegon Bay is one of the few places where lake swimming is comfortable
though it was strictly due to the top warm layer. Once deeper than about
12'
lay the frigid Lake Superior water at about 35 F year round.
