[Magdalen] It's that time again.

Short of my lectionary and next year's diary, which are at home, I would need to work back from Easter - which is the proper way in any case.  I happen to remember that next year Easter is on 5 April because I have a niece getting married 8 days later on 13 April.  That means Palm Sunday is 29 March so the Second Sunday of Lent is 1 March and the Sunday next before Lent is 15 February so Ash Wednesday is 18 February. (A quick Google reveals that my calculation is correct.)

Are they assuming that those of us of a certain age will even REMEMBER the
rota by the time Lent starts??  At the moment, I don't even remember when
LENT starts!
