[Magdalen] weather/temps...

It's rather surreal to be reading about " temp of 30" when we passed 30 degrees Centigrade at about 6.30 this morning. It's now 36deg n will be hotter tomorrow. Wish I had a security pass to go and sit in air-conditioned comfort in the Convention centre with all the G20 bigwigs. If only this blast of hot air from across the continent would bring some rain, but our rain comes from the east and north. <sigh> Thanks to the ENSO we look like experiencing plenty more drought before Christmas. Keep those snow reports coming, they help me remember what it was like outside when I went to see +Tony in Indiana in January two years ago!

headed down past 30 tonight here in Houston.... for November THAT'S COLD!!

I spend the better part of an hour covering bedding plants (because this
won't last and they will, if covered) and hauling in some of my
summer-grown-huge tropicals - schefflera and an 8' tall cut leaf
philodendron in a pot (which I cut into pieces to root).

Furnace on and it's set at 62.... yep, it is cold.
