thanks to you both...

now an anal question...

on the turn the burner off thing... electricity and gas are so different 
with this directive - and I have one of those 'glass top' electric ranges 
(never would have chosen it, it came with my condo... and NEVER would buy 
one...), so if I leave it on the burner it will cook for another 10 minutes, 
minimum... so I am assuming that I can removed from burner (because if this 
was cooked on a gas stove, the heat would disappear immediately).
