Jay, that sounds like so much fun!
When I was in Kentucky in an Appalachian ministry summer program for seminarians, each person in the program took a morning worship session. The idea was to do something from their tradition. One of the faculty members decided to do a Baptist-style service with some of the hymns you mentioned, and she asked me to play the piano.
Well, the place really rocked, and afterwards one of the Southern Baptist women came up to me and said, "Boy, you don't play the piano like any Episcopalian I ever heard!"
I took that as high praise...
