How has the "U.S. Government" redesigned filibustering rules?

Let's be clear -- they are set by the Senate Majority leader at the beginning of 
each session, usually in quiet consultation with the Minority Leader.

However, if the GOP wins enough seats to take "control" with 7-8 seats, I'll be 
willing to bet that the GOP will throw out the 60-vote rule in favor of a simple 
majority effective with the new session.

Neither side will go back to the old way of having to "hold the floor" as in the 
1950s and 60s.
