Why is it that there has been long-term domination of USA football
standings by teams of the South Eastern Conference (SEC)?  For  example,
four of the six top Class 1 football teams in the USA are from that  
conference
currently.
 
Is it that they provide better benefits, or that they have better  
recruiters,
or that the academic standards are lower for maintenance of student
status?  Or is it none of these things, and just happenstance?
 
Or is the reason simply not definable?
