I subscribe to the Word of the Day from the Oxford English Dictionary and today it's something I'm sure we have all experienced.  Two definitions are offered, the first being noted for the first time in 1991 as new features constantly added to an application.  Much later, in 2006, is the reference to the number of apps and programs preloaded on a device.  Of course the effect of both is to significantly slow boot up time and, often, actual processing.
