You can get shingles at any age. My friend's child got them at age 4,
believe it or not. She had chicken pox at 2 1/2 and got shingles at 4 after
a series of other illnesses depleted her immune system. The doctors were
surprised because it's rare to see them in a child that young, but it
happens.
