But there must be a German side to your family tree.  Oppenheim  am
Rhein is a small wine town between Mainz and Worms, and an important
architectural city with it's interesting Saint Catherine's Church.
 
It was a frequent stop for us on weekends when we lived in
nearby Frankfurt/M.
 
An Oppenheimer+ was the first pastor of the local Tridentine parish
where I sang for twenty years.
