Why don't you graduate to the "ad libitum" more florid Epistle
Tone which can be found in the Liber?  It's much more fun.
 
Sometimes you run into presiders who don't like the ad libitum
Epistle Tone because they think you're horning in on the more
elaborate Gospel Tones.  However, both the simple, rectilinear 
and florid, ad libitum Epistle Tones are correct.
 
I've still never heard an Anglican presider of any stripe pull
off the florid Preface to the Canon (Eucharistic Prayer).  It
isn't because they don't have the voice, but, I think, rather that
they don't know such exists.
 
It does, and it's gloriously festive.
