Not for him, anyway.  Lotsa work to make up, though.  His French teacher already gave him the work and hopefully he'll get some done while gone.

Anna's from a family where birthdays are a Big Deal.  It's her mother's this next week, apparently.  Oh well.  She (the birthday mother) plans on showering Evertt with shirts, but will be told very soon, by Everett, "Thanks, but underwear and socks, please!"  Yes, a kid who wants underwear and socks.  I'm raising a Practical Kid.
