since I still pay nearly all of my bills via paper checks entrusted  to
the snail-mail USPS.
 
There are a few automatic withdrawals (Erlich, medical organization
dues, ADT Security, etc.) from the bank account directly.
 
I do go online daily to check the accounts and haven't received
paper cancelled cheques for many years.
 
I don't find writing checks and puting them in the mail as an
onerous activity, but then, I'm just a Neanderthal wandering through
the electronic age.
 
And, yes, I know the first class postage is getting pricey, and the
paper blank cheques, previously free at my bank, have now become
another appreciable expense.
 
Stay tuned.  Maybe I'll see what the local VA federal credit union  has
available for electronic bill paying.  I've always had a savings  account
there, but last week I opened a checking account as well.
