[Magdalen] Old photos

Photoshop can actually do quite a good job at restoring the color on old
prints. I inherited all my parents prints (& several cartons of slides),
and, even most color prints dating back to the mid-to-early 50's could
readily be restored so they look quite decent.

I didn't do anything but prints--didn't have any way to show or share
slides. And nothing but black and white until after I was married.
For awhile we used this company that packaged rolls of 35mm film like that
used for actual movies. They processed it, and you got back slides and
prints. They were gorgeous, but over time the prints all took on a ghastly
pinkish hue. I haven't checked the slides in years--I think my daughter has
them.
