I knew Ted years ago. He has been in ill health since a stroke a few years 
ago. He was the heart and soul of keeping Anglican Socialism alive. His 
website, Anglo-Catholic Socialism, which has been gone since he had the 
stroke, was an encyclopedic source of the history and teachings of the 
Socialist movement in Anglicanism. Please keep him in your prayers for a 
while. He is missed by many.

Dear Anglican lefties,
I haven't been on the group in several years, so I'm not entirely sure how
to reach all of you, or if anyone still gets these emails. I do want to
deliver the news that our beloved Ted Mellor died Sunday evening. Earlier
in the day, Skip Cole, a longtime member of Trinity Church had visited, as
he did several times a month on Sundays for years. Skip was Ted's ride to
church when he was able to attend, and his most faithful visitor and local
friend in his final years. 

I am deeply thankful for Ted's life and witness. He is one of the people
who taught me to be a priest, and more importantly a follower of Jesus. I
am also so thankful for Skip's loving care of Ted in recent years, an
example of exactly the sort of quiet and faithful ministry Ted modeled and
inspired.

Please help me to spread the word among Ted's far-flung friends and
admirers.
