That is a real issue.  If a priest is in the wrong place for them then 
they are not going to "do a good job" and be attractive to those seeking 
a new priest.  Ubless they are called elsewhere getting rid of them is 
traumatic for everybody - assuming there is a canonical way of giving 
them the push.

Gurnishings and architecture need to work together.  You are right about 
the icons - they are an invitation to private prayer.
